what what in the butt

I started fabing up the rear of the board track bike yesterday. The motor is only sitting on the frame for a clearance check and the dirty old bike tire is just for reference.

i love this life violently with the fire of 1,000 suns

After a few e-mails asking about where my shop was i decided to make a post. At this point i don't actually have a shop. I am working out of my 3-car garage. This is not even my day job (although i spend about as much time doing this as my "real" job) My "day" job is as an aircraft structural mechanic. I specialize in aircraft sheet metal mostly but i also paint and do composites on aircraft from time to time. As you can see i do quite a bit of work on the side. If you have any projects that you might need my help with feel free to shoot me an e-mail and i can give you a quote.

Scout II strippers

I recently found a donor scout to grab some much needed fenders and a drivers side door off of. after arranging a trade i stripped mine down and gave the guy my old panels to use on his rock beater. here is some pictures of the process. i will have pictures of the new panels later.

swiss cheese

Yesterday we pulled up the rubber flooring in the scout II and found this (and a Black widow 2'' from my face). Looks like we have allot of work ahead of us.

front forks from scratch

Here are the forks i made for the board track bike. They still need to be finish welded and i need to fab the handle bar/ upper suspension mount. i know there are some other builders building similar suspension setups but this is my own design. Pretty much all my work proves that you dont have to have expensive equipment to build cool stuff.

Board track bike wheels

Here is the rear wheel for the board track bike. they are custom built clincher wheels with 10 gauge stainless spokes laced to worksman front drum hubs. i drilled out one of the hubs for a sprocket adapter then milled out an adapter out of 1/2'' 6061 aluminum plate. the sprocket is a 40 tooth pitbike sprocket.

Mormon's on bikes give me thumbs up when i drive this

I picked this up recently for my new daily driver. It is a 1969 Dodge A-100. Right now registering it is a pain in the ass because Las Vegas makes you smog vehicles with no smog equipment and of course mine wont pass (go figure). I will be registering it in NY shortly. Once its on the road i will be driving it daily.

XS650

A new picture of the XS. (the controls might look weird because they are not hooked up to anything yet. They are just hanging free)

brain bucket

i took these pictures when i lived in Okinawa Japan. We found it when we were hiking through the jungle on Ikei island. This is not fake. It is in fact a real skull and bones not sure how it ended up there. As most of you know many many people died on Okinawa during WWII this might be one of them.

board track forks

At the moment i am building the front suspension for the board track bike. The wheel pictured is only for mock up. I am using motorcycle wheels on the finished bike.

CBR 600 F4I I paint

I recently painted this Honda F4i for a friend. I hate painting sport bikes but it was for a good friend. The pint is Kustom shop jet black base with their chameleon green to orange large flake ontop. i also used quite a bit of clear. in these pictures it is not yet color sanded or buffed (im letting the paint dry a while before i cut it due to the temp here)

board track build start

I recently started the board track build. It is for someone who wants the ride-ability of a scooter and not having to register or insure their ride. Also he did not want to be seen riding a scooter. It is running board track style motorcycle rims and tires. the engine is a pitster pro 140cc race engine which actually puts out more HP then some board track racing era production 1000cc v-twins. i know this bike will probably get hated on alot because of my engine choice but for the price you cant beat it and its damn fun so if you don't like it, fuck off and go buy some more chrome for your Harley.
